I saw a BBC documentary about deer in London - in one clip a bus driver stopped about 3 am and videod three of them grazing on a grass verge. Wonder where they go in the daytime? Urban foxes are common, but now urban deer?Victoria Chathamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02064028734034371341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-343519596287643773.post-57937597473266517912021-04-01T14:25:23.012-07:002021-04-01T14:25:23.012-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Victoria Chathamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02064028734034371341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-343519596287643773.post-21039072389805391972021-02-23T02:14:41.520-08:002021-02-23T02:14:41.520-08:00Hi Victoria, Great post. I might never go out there again if there had been a bear. Love the magazine story - I think they're a good starting point for ideas, too. anneanne stenhousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02737658937717248241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-343519596287643773.post-17337335852202466692021-02-21T15:53:32.607-08:002021-02-21T15:53:32.607-08:00Thanks for the compliment, Connie. Thanks for the compliment, Connie.Victoria Chathamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02064028734034371341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-343519596287643773.post-62954262094620378732021-02-21T14:12:02.736-08:002021-02-21T14:12:02.736-08:00What if? A few of us in the round robin have mentioned the 'what if?' question, and I think that's exactly how noticing something, or a vague thought, turns into a story. Once I promised her her own book, she faded into the background. These days that's called fan-fiction. But it was the start of me having a cacophony of noise in my head. To my amazement, once I wrote "the end" for my first book, those characters were quiet. Then the heroine's best friend started insisting I write her story also. I hope my ideas never run out, and that they continue until my fingers are too old to type. Then I'll get an audio device and talk my stories into it. One night we had one of @200 pounds (big! -- but didn't go out and weigh him) lying on his back holding my birdfeeder full of sunflower seeds over his open mouth. The feeder had been on a fairly high tree branch but after his meal was a complete wreck. I'm just glad he didn't come up on the back porch. Lord, you've inspired me. I have to put this in a story.
